The codes and conventions of a drama film are difficult to specify. However most drama films will involves the same basic things, such as: Both gang and single person violence, sex, alcohol and other drugs (Including illegal drug usage) relationship or family issues. I would suggest these as being key because in most drama films you will see several of these conventions.
My film sticks to this because it uses several of these conventions, this of course isn’t the only reason that it is a drama film. I think that my film predominantly follows the codes and conventions of an average drama film, I say this because the story is very common and easy to change up, however I think this storyline is the most effective to have chosen.
My group and I struggled to challenge the conventions of a Drama film, because there are so many. Having said this we did manage to challenge the conventional storyline because our main character is originally being bullied and we show that a good way to stop that is by retaliating towards them in a violent manner
